Vice Chancellor, Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, Prof Joshua Ogunwole, has expressed gratitude to governor Gboyega Oyetola over the essay competition put up to celebrate the state’s 30 years of existence. Ogunwole, at an occasion to honour the winner, a 400-level Medicine and Surgery student of the institution, Victor Ayodeji Adeyemo, described the achievement as heart-warming, saying it was a welcome development for the institution. The vice chancellor said it is a thing of joy celebrating one of their students, who distinguished himself in a keenly contested competition put up by Oyetola.
He said: “We want to celebrate one of our sons who has done us proud. It is the fulfillment of our vision. We thank God for this occasion because it will make our students become self- motivated to think outside the box.

“It is in our character to identify and celebrate any of our students who distinguished himself or herself on occasions like this. Let me use this occasion to appreciate the governor for putting up such a programme to motivate students and improve their capacity. I dof my hat for him,” the VC said.

Director of Academics, Prof Oduola Abiola, advised the student not to relent, knowing that all eyes are on him.
